TouchCare Nano system
Medtrum’s TouchCare Nano System is an innovative solution for diabetes management, combining a tubeless insulin pump, a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system and an intuitive mobile application.
Elements of technical differentiation :
Compact tubeless insulin pump
The TouchCare Nano patch pump is one of the smallest and lightest on the market, offering a reservoir capacity of 200 units of insulin. Its compact size and discreet design make it comfortable to use and easy to integrate into everyday life.
Stainless steel cannula
Unlike Teflon cannulas, the 5 mm stainless steel cannula reduces the risk of lipodystrophy and kinking, ensuring reliable insulin delivery.
Integrated continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system
The CGM TouchCare Nano sensor continuously measures interstitial glucose levels for up to 14 days, providing accurate, real-time monitoring without the need for frequent calibration.
EasyPatch mobile application
Users can control the pump and monitor their blood glucose data directly from their smartphone via the EasyPatch app, available on iOS and Android. This flexibility enables simplified, personalized treatment management.
Personnal Diabetes Manager (PDM) compact
For those who prefer a dedicated device, the touch-sensitive, rechargeable PDM offers a convenient alternative for controlling the pump and accessing data, with an intuitive user interface.

Feature overview
Medtrum’s TouchCare Nano System offers a comprehensive range of features designed to optimize diabetes management.
Analysis of blood glucose and insulin management chart
This graph represents a full day of blood glucose monitoring and insulin delivery via an insulin pump system coupled with a continuous glucose monitoring(CGM) sensor. It is divided into three main sections:
- Blood glucose trends (SG – Sensor Glucose in mmol/L)
- Administration of basal insulin (Basal – U/H)
- Administration of bolus insulin (Bolus – U)
Glycemic curve and target zone
- Green and yellow curve: Represents the evolution of interstitial glucose levels measured continuously by the CGM sensor. The curve is mostly in the target zone (light green band), indicating optimized diabetes management.
- Yellow segments: indicate periods of estimated values (interrupted or unstable sensor reading).
- Instantaneous value displayed (5.6 mmol/L): Corresponds to the glucose level measured at a given moment.
Events and annotations
- Food icons (bread, dessert, hot drink, etc.): Represent food intake, enabling analysis of the impact of meals on blood sugar levels.
- Grey shaded area (midnight – 06:00 and 23:30 – midnight): Indicates periods when little or no data is available.
Insulin therapy: basal and bolus
Basal insulin (green bars, U/H) :
- The pump delivers continuous basal insulin, adapted to the patient’s circadian rhythm.
- Dynamic adjustments are observed, with increases around 03:00 and 18:00, probably to compensate for nocturnal and preprandial glycemic variations.
Insulin bolus (blue bars, U) :
- Corresponds to the administration of boluses to correct postprandial hyperglycemia or to compensate for the carbohydrate intake of meals.
- More marked boluses around 09:00, 15:00 and 20:00, coinciding with meal or correction periods.
Technical interpretation
- Relatively stable blood glucose with few episodes of marked hyperglycemia, indicating effective adjustment of insulin therapy.
- Active insulin correction: Adapted boluses after meals to avoid prolonged glycemic peaks.
- Intelligently modulated basal insulin, following a personalized administration approach.
Conclusion
This report is an example of semi-closed-loop monitoring, where the pump partially adjusts basal administration and the patient adjusts boluses according to meals and glycemic trends.
Treatment optimization relies on trend analysis, bolus management and basal insulin adaptation to ensure optimal glycemic control.
If necessary, further adjustments can be considered in collaboration with the care team, particularly in relation to nocturnal events and postprandial responses.
